Horinca – Aqua Vitae, has been produced in our area Maramures, north Transylvania for over 700 years. It is the quintessence of all distillates since the Middle Ages, when knights brought the alembic copper pot stills into northern Transylvania. In the vein of this tradition, we’ve improved the artisanal process, creating our own special recipes by double distilling and maturing in recharred casks; 100% natural product, fully handcrafted in a small family farm, where people and HORINCA live by century-old rules.

We continue our family Gogota tradition since 1957 in Valea Stejarului, Maramures Country in order to produce a Pure Craft Distiled Spirits – most appreciated from fruit brandy category. Our spirits are a fine double distilled with the specific taste and aroma of selected fruits. It is produced in limited quantities -Small Batches.

Our Plum, Pear or Quince Brandy – Horinca de Prune, Pere sau Gutui Rested / Matured  for minimum one or three years in recharred Transylvania oak casks, brings lighter notes of dried plums, hints of distant sweet aromatic smoke, along with a gentle fruity touch. Blending comes with a casks strength for rich and sumptuous taste.

Horinca este semifiltrata pentru a-i păstra taninii și elementele care dau culoare, gust și savoare în urma invechirii exclusiv în butoi

,,Modul in care se exprima aromatic este absolut incantator, deoarece nu o face “brutal”, asa cum te-ai astepta de la un distilat de 40-50% vol. alc., ci delicat si fin, prin tonuri precise de peltea de pere, insotite in plan secundar de impresii de miere de salcam si nuci. Gustul este echilibrat si copt, cu o aciditate interesanta, ce ii confera prospetime. In postgut, aromele fructate ating punctul culminant, fiind accentuate de alcoolul bine integrat, intregul peisaj aromatic fiind completat de niste tente de vanilie, lemn de stejar si ciocolata amaruie, conferite de maturarea in lemn de stejar”
